Google Cloud Next is Google's annual Cloud conference, attracting over 35,000 attendees. Given the enterprise audience, we wanted to bring some engaging delight to the conference online and offline. As Art Director and Designer, I worked closely with the Brand Marketing team to bring to life a collection of visual media (2D videos, images, and GIFs) to be shared across Google's social media network alongside announcements and key conference moments. The visuals were created in Tilt Brush (Google's Virtual Reality 3D painting and design program), and were available to be experienced immersively in-person, in Virtual Reality at the conference's Tilt Brush booth.

The Logo Experience

To kick off the conference and welcome its 35,000 attendees, we conceptualized an experience around the Next conference letters.
In order to showcase some of the major industries supported by Google Cloud, I reimagined each letter of 'Next' as a building housing an industry. In order from N to T: healthcare, entertainment, retail, and finance.

Make it with G-suite

Gsuite had many announcements to highlight at the conference, and we wanted to convey some of the major ones. The messaging of this experience revolved around the idea of digital transformation through collaboration. Gsuite reimagines how businesses can work by powering teams to be faster, smarter, and together than ever before. Specific announcements highlighted: integration of Calendar with Assistant, updates to Hangouts Meet, Google Voice availability.

Demystifying the Cloud

For the average consumer, the concept of the cloud is fleeting. We planned to take advantage of the strong engagement around the conference to relay the definition of the cloud to Google’s entire social media audience - not just enterprise and Google Cloud followers.
The cloud is a powerful innovation that impacts every digitally-enabled consumer. In our explanation process, I wanted to showcase the basics of the cloud’s structure, starting with the undersea cables connected to data centers.

The Showcase

To add a little extra delight to the campaign, we wanted to create a visual representation of the showcase experience of Next, as the Next 2019 style was especially vibrant with unique characters. I wanted to bring those characters to life while portraying a few key pillars of the conference.

Google Cloud Partners

I conceptualized this piece around the idea that at Google Cloud, we will “build and succeed together.”
I depicted this with two sides coming together to show the value of the partner ecosystem. Key theme we wanted to relay: collaboration, making, building, and two entities coming together to create something bigger and better.

Anthos Announcement

The announcement of Google Anthos was a key moment of the conference.
Anthos is Google's revamped cloud services platform. What makes Anthos unique is that it embraces a “multi-cloud” strategy. So, organizations that use multiple clouds for different tasks (e.g. AWS, Azure, etc.) can manage all of those functions with one portal - Anthos.
